One of the first questions I’ll get from a client is how long it typically takes for a Workers’ Compensation claim to go through. The answer to that question is really it depends on the type of injury that you have and the type of treatment that you need. There are times that a Workers’ Compensation claim might only last three to four months. During that time period, you’ll be receiving treatment and going through the process. There’s other times in which a Workers’ Compensation claim because of the injury goes on for longer than a year. During that time period you’re receiving treatment, people are advocating for you as it relates to your claim and the Workers’ Compensation Board is involved.
